Unlike a Bounty paper towel, I'm not a quicker picker upper. Committment phobia and serial monogamy are not parts of my modus operandi.

My traits transcend the shallow confines of my vocation and industry. I'm a self-made person (or at least as close as it gets these days) and, subsequently, have the utmost respect for people with a similar background. I'm very ambitious but possess the courage to never underestimate the power of luck in life and love. I consider time more valuable than money because money is a replenishable resource; time isn't. Once a moment is gone, it's gone forever and there's not a single thing in the world that anyone can do about it.

I believe life is one great big risk comprised of smaller risks of varying degrees but I also believe in risk management. This particular philosophy has been my key to financial solvency. I'm debt-free with no bankruptcies and my credit score is in the top 13% of all credit holders.

Unlike many Angelenos, I didn't come to L.A. for the sun, sand, surf and snow. Water and snow sports aren't a passion of mine. I'm a definite landlubber but I enjoy being around or on the beach, especially playing volleyball.

Music is my B.F.F. that inspires me to reach higher and be greater than anyone's perception of me. My musical tastes range from Silversun Pickups and Foo Fighters, Steely Dan and Pink Floyd, Tears For Fears and U2 to Iggy Pop and The Clash. Although I do surprise myself sometimes with an affinity for a rap song and my occasional picnic dinner at the Hollywood Bowl to hear a great classical artist like Joshua Bell.

Even though I don't have a particular "type", a great catch would be a youthful woman who has achieved a sense of balance between her personal and professional life, says what she means and means what she says, lights up a room with her presence, has a natural curiosity about life, is a dog person more than a cat person (having the ability to breathe without the help of pharmaceuticals is definitely a plus), and is contradictory to the notion that personality is inversely proportional to looks. Also, someone light on the ink and piercings. The laws of physical attraction do apply but ultimately, your heart must be in the right place in order to win mine. This makes me different than most guys. Also, a silly personality is sexy to me.

P.S. In the religion category, I fall under "spiritual but not religious".
