I am a pretty simple man that is very easy to please. Above all, I am laid-back and easy-going. To me, life is too short to fight about things. My close friends have often said I am intelligent, warm, caring and loyal. I would say I would very much like to be all those things, but am a "work in progress".

I live for new experiences, though paradoxically I can be quite content with some routine. One downside of my love of variety is my music collection has gotten large an eclectic because I am constantly looking for new and different artists. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of music I never tire of, but I enjoy finding new music as well.

As I like to find variety and new experiences I am seldom daunted by new situations. I, also, enjoy exploring new places and new people. As a result, I love to travel. I lived in Spain for a summer and loved exploring the country and culture. More recently, I took a cruise in the Caribbean and got to visit some Mayan ruins which was a real treat. I guess you could say that I love anything historical and different. Some of the places I would like to visit are Rome, London, Egypt and Machu Pichu. I would also love to drive across the US and take a train across Canada.

After many years, I have finally begun to piece together what I am looking for. First and foremost I am looking for a woman who is looking for a serious relationship. A woman who believes, as I do, that making the one you love happy is of paramount importance. A woman who is straight-forward about her needs and desires. Life is too short for games and I like a straight forward person who "calls them like the see ‘em". Intelligence is critical, though education is not. I have known far too many smart GED holders to think the level of education matters. Finally, a sense of humor is a must. If a woman does not like to laugh (and is not sometimes a bit silly herself) we will not have nearly as much fun.

The first meeting will almost certainly be casual and probably lunch. The first DATE will be quite different. The date would start in the early evening and we'd meet at a good local restaurant like Nino's or The Melting Pot. The key is to find a place we can just talk and see where that takes us.
