Kids have it made. When you are 5 Lifelong Friendships are often forged by accident. As an adult living in what I perceive to be an exceptionally lonely city, I occasionally long for one of those happy accidents. Profiles and personal descriptions alleviate much of the chance that makes our relationships so meaningful.

As a result, I am reluctant to write a personal profile. It's a difficult task to summarize human complexity in a manner not to verbose but without falling victim to communicating insincerity or a lack of depth and character.

My personal story arch mimics most coming of age characters; as a child I had unconditional love for my family until my teen years when I convinced myself that they were all stupid, only to suffer the irony that unveiled itself as a young adult when I realized how incredibly smart and insightful they really were - almost bordering on pre-cognition.

No member or close friend of our family goes without a nickname. Furthermore, you learn over time that we have invented words from memorable family events and sometimes use child-like mis-pronunciations for common everyday items. That tradition continues today. You have been warned...

I try to be pragmatic, methodical, and organized when planning for the long term. Why not be? Ultimately, everything else in life is a series of reactions to unforeseen events. As a personality trait this means that when I go shopping, I would rather spend $5000 on a watch of a quality that will endure decades of use and is immune to fickle fashion trends, than $500 on one in this month’s GQ and Vogue. This is not the case when it comes to shoes (HA!).
