If I were looking, I would be looking for a strong hearted, single (or divorced), thoughtful Jewish, Buddhist, non religious, or spiritual man (NO CHRISTIANS, LIBERTARIANS, ATHEISTS, ATHEISTS masquerading as AGNOSTICS - you know who you are -- OR REPUBLICANS), over 5'10" (negotiable but definitely be taller than me), smart, educated (not the same thing), sweet, sense of humor, great kisser, LIBERAL, ARTISTIC, who'd like to spend time with a somewhat horny (did I say that out loud?), slightly dominant, occasionally geeky, busty, intellectual, movie loving, hippy, funny, succulent Black Jewish woman from Chicago who has a gorgeous rescued dog named Sydney.

Single fathers with full or partial custody are definitely welcomed! I love children, don't have any (yet), forgot to check that box I guess, but if you're game, I'm game. I make a mean cupcake and can play Barbies or Transformers with the best of them and those skills shouldn't be wasted if I can help it. I volunteer with children and dogs (not at the same time) so I have a passion for both.

I work in the film biz, so I am a movie/tv/book fiend. If you don't have cable or can't think of the last time you were in a movie theater (or live theater) we probably won't be a good fit. (ditto if you're not naturally creative) I love action, sci-fi, horror, fantasy, indie (smart or silly films), foreign or preferably some combination of the above. My most recent fav is District 9, although I really loved (and admired) The Stoning Of Soraya M., Let The Right One In and Star Trek in the past year. Anything with explosions, aliens, dinosaurs, vampires, zombies or ghosts will definitely get you a second date.

I did standup in college, studied at Second City in my 20s, then I went to therapy and now I can't tell a good joke to save my life. I am very good at making fun of myself. I am both intense and lighthearted at the same time (you'll have to meet me to understand how that can not be weird). I don't take life too seriously and I value my friends, family and loved ones highly. If we become friends, it's for life and you will always be able to count on me.

Oh, and despite saying "no" on the drugs question, I do smoke pot generally once or twice a week. I will be getting my medical marijuana license soon as well. Maybe that's why I can't ever remember a good joke!

Technically I am allergic to organised religion. (and occasionally I use British spelling rules) But if I had to pick a few that seem to fit... Judaism and Buddhism seem to align well with me. Our spiritual paths are personal and it's up to us as individual beings to follow wherever they go, forcing others to see "our way" isn't very enlightened.

If I were going on a date...hmmm... I'd say dinner/lunch/happy hour. Something where we can talk and relax. Maybe a cup of tea. Also open to art galleries and museums (not only art museums, I like history, aquariums, science museums too).

I am allergic to perfume, flowers, cologne, grass, pics of your muscle car and cats.
