Well, I have decided to try and hit things from a different angle. Out with the old and in with the new. For your entertainment I present a brief history of myself.

I am the only child of what might possibly be the greatest set of parents I know. My father was a gardener/psychotherapist who taught me to always look at things from other people point of view; To make my own mistakes; and to think and question always the world around me. My mother was an art school hippie and beatnik who raised me watching classic movies, thrift store shopping and cooking.

From them I acquired a complementary duality of rationality and whimsy as well as a strong sense of honesty.

I've always been a bit of a late bloomer, or perhaps I simply carry a sense of child like wonder into the world around me. I am a dreamer and a poet, and a worker and a homeowner. I've been down the amazon river and walked the Galapagos, hiked into volcanoes and swum in a shark tank all before i was 14. I've been married and know what its like to devote yourself to someone, I also know what its like to have someone undermine your principles completely. However, I'm not carrying baggage. Everyone is a special case and all of my relationships were singularly their own. Most of them I do not regret.

I love the forest, the give me sense of peace. I'm not much for beaches and sun and absorbing cancer. Give me streams and trees and stones.

I am utterly a goofball and a geek, though I like to think I come of as a strapping young gentlemen. So why am I single? Well, I have a job that has me traveling part of the time, and I just happen to be between relationships at the moment. :)

Goals, I'd like someone that wants similar things out of life.
Logistics, I want out of Florida one day.
Religion, I am a spiritual agnostic, Bible thumpers... Begone!

Realistically:
Dinner at a casual dinning restaurant, which is a good non committal and non distracting method of sharing ideas and getting to know one another. I buy, you have no regrets.

Ideally:
I night on the town starting at a museum or botanical garden, strolling leisurely, commenting on this or that. Taking to the street beneath a bright moon on a warm night with a touch of crisp chill in the air. Ending at a quaint street side cafe, with a bottle of wine and a good conversation.

Fantastically:
Well it involves airships, sword duals and an maybe... ummm evil sorcerer? but you get the gist. Seriously I see all these girls on this site that say they want first dates to be creative and adventurous... but really... its a first date, I don't know you. It's probably also a last date. I mean if I started taking girls on first dates on a hot air balloon ride... then I would just become that creepy hot air balloon guy!

Horseback riding would be nice though... hmmmm...
