I'm very passionate about everything in life, whether its work, play, family, friends or relationships. Family is extremely important to me. I am as loyal as they come, so this quality is very important to me in another person. I am a unique combination; I can be outgoing and fun--yet quiet and introspective, I can be goofy and silly--yet serious and intellectual too. I have a good sense of humor, so I love laughter and a sharp wit. I am rather shy at first, and have traditional values. I love culture; art, museums, food, wine, movies - indie flicks & foreign films, music - I'm REALLY into all kinds of music, books, photography, plays, and travel. I like to try new things, cook, read, fish, take my dog for walks, go out with friends, or stay in and watch movies with a nice fire going. Going to the lake in MN is my favorite thing to do.

I have never been gung-ho to just "go out and find a guy and get married", hence my single status - by choice! I have always been very education and career-driven; to make my own way in life. I value independence as well as giving/sharing--there's a balance. I don't want just 'someone', I want someone who is quite special and unique. Looks attract, personality keeps: genuine kindness, sound morals, honesty, integrity, and respect are MUSTS.

My ideal: someone who is highly intelligent, thoughtful, loyal to a fault, honest, affectionate, his own person, cultured, sensitive yet still a 'guy', values family, is comfortable in sweats or a suit, will try new things, has amazing chemistry and passion with me, and can make me laugh like crazy. I appreciate a man who is protective and respectful of women. My biggest turn on's are intelligence, chivalry, and a wicked sense of humor.

I care about your heart, your values, your integrity, and how you treat me and those around you. It's all about the chemistry and the connection, on many levels. I firmly believe that we do not choose love, I think "it" chooses us... at least that's always been my experience. I've never controlled it or "chosen" who I fell for, we are just inexplicably drawn to certain people...so I say, "it chooses us".

This is a genuine snapshot of who I am (just like everyone else, I'm still a work in progress). I'm trying to be brave and put my toe in to test the water, but honestly, I'm feeling weary from the games people play. I'm straightforward, I'm not into the push/pull of the dating game. Life's too short to waste time; people slip away from this lifetime too quickly/unexpectedly sometimes, so they need to know how you feel while there is time/opportunity. Carpe diem!

We are all perfectly imperfect...flawed in our unique ways. I'm not perfect, nor do I expect someone else to be. Each of us just wants to find that person that "gets" us; understands, appreciates and accepts us, just as we are.
