I haven't updated my profile in a very long time so here goes. I'm currently working in Kabul Afghanistan, Camp Phoenix, as a Systems and Network Administrator. Having never really gone anywhere in my life this has been a _HUGE_ change for me. It's pretty crazy over here but I'm grateful to be playing a part where my skills and knowledge can really make a difference.

I'll be coming home for a few weeks in mid-Feburary, and after that I will be traviling around quite abit to Dubai and around Europe. While I may be far away, I am still looking for that specal woman to get to know and hopefully meet when I come for visits and when I decided to come home for good. So anyway I hope to hear from you.

I try to take pleasure in the simple things from life. I have a wide variety of interests and am always looking to learn something new. So, I'm looking for someone who likes trying, discovering and learning new things. I can be pretty silly, at times, and tend to laugh at myself all the time -- so someone with a great sense of humor is a must!!! =)

My 2 girls are the most important people in my life. I work hard and love what I do, with that said, I really value my free time. So I'm looking for someone who's ambitious as well, but not a slave to their profession/work I pretty much like almost all types of music & movies (though I'm not much into twangy country or rap/hip-hop). I have a huge sweet spot for [[animals]], I love [[camping]] & [[float trips]], [[fishing]], Shakespeare in the Park, the Zoo and 6-Flags (my girls think I go just for them =), my [[garden]] (there's nothing like a tomato from the garden), [[cooking]], [[BBQing]], and [[reading]] (when I have free time). Oh, I'm 39 (ack I'm getting old, I sure don't feel like 39 =).

I'm looking for someone to enjoy good times with, can become friends with, and to share some good conversations with.

p.s. The 69 in stljim69 is NOT a sexual reference, it's the year I was born.. Some of ya'll need to get your minds out of the gutter! I'm not a big fan of the photo, it's the only one I have on this laptop. It was taken about 2am at a conference (big party really) we host through work, so hopefully it doesn't damage your vision ;) I really need to get some new ones!

It depends on so many factors and how much we've chatted before hand. If it were late spring, summer or fall, I would like to meet at a park, the Zoo, museum .. some where that we could chat and walk. Then go out to dinner somewhere eclectic, maybe U-city, where we could sit outside, people watch, and chat some more.
