I'm separated and just seeing who's out there, in the same boat... or, as we are all "Fish", under it. I'm trying this site because it was recommended by a friend who had success. I'm approaching this with an open attitude: dating... fun first... if it’s meant to be more, we're all adults here, we'll both know. Even though I'm not the sharpest tack in the drawer, I won't walk away from a great thing. Is it ironic that Jaws is my favourite movie and I find myself on POF? Within my own Jaws, you'll find that I have all my teeth, despite having been born and raised in The Hammer.

Why is the “Smarts” Choice "Some College"? I have "Enough College"; I finished college. One day of post secondary education is "Some College". Better yet- I have 20 years of real-life experience that they can't teach you in college! If anyone were not smart, would they be honest and mark that choice so we could all make a better informed decision?

The skinny: I really love cooking (I'm not just saying that.... I do), traveling, the outdoors, dry (Like a good martini should be) humour, the Leafs (although it begs the question: why do I continually bang my head against the wall when there's no end in site to the misery? Why?), Laurel & Hardy, useless trivia, and I plan on growing old with someone who has some of the same interests I do, and of course, some new ones to introduce me to. I'm wired for someone who has a positive outlook. You melancholy "Hearts-on-the-Sleeve people, please don’t apply... I've ridden that bus already. I'm interested in a woman who is emotionally stable, mature-in-thinking but young-at-heart, independent, and confident. A sense of humour is mandatory. Not a "Pull my finger" sense of humour, that's like gluten-freed bread. Humour when it in part defines your outlook on life... That's what I'm talking about. Oh.... and there's nothing sexier than a woman who knows when to be a woman, but can also bait a hook and has her own power tools! And if she can improve my salsa dancing technique, all the more points.

I have two small kids who are a big part of my life and would prefer someone who either loves kids, or better yet has her own. I think only people with children can truly understand the dedication they require emotionally, physically and financially. When the time is right, you’ll meet them, but be forewarned, you have competition- my four year old daughter asked me to marry her a while back!

I would meet for a coffee, maybe check out a pub. I like patios. Walks by the lake are fun in summer, which reminds me.... I HATE geese. I don't hate all animals... There's many I love... that's why I bought a barbeque. Oh, First Date... now that winter is coming, maybe save the world from tyranny if it's an afternoon meeting? When my private jet is out of the garage, more options will present themselves.
