I'm fairly traditional in my beliefs and approach to life. I believe men and women have distinct and important roles and that those roles are closer to traditional roles than modern 'anything goes' roles. I believe in holding doors open for my date, offering my coat when she's cold, and many other little things. I agree with the ideas and concepts in "The 5 Love Languages". I'm open to having someone to do things with. I'm definately interested in finding a long term partner, although I think it's a bad idea to start a relationship with stuff like "Is she THE ONE??". It just puts too much pressure on the relationship, which I would prefer to start with "let's get to know each other as good friends". My degrees are in electrical and computer engineering. Currently I work in sales and marketing. I've always enjoyed the outdoors - hiking & camping and have been involved in the scouting program for a long time. I enjoy science fiction, action & adventure. I like soft rock, classical, some jazz, instrumental (esp Narada label), some country. I don't like hard rock/metal/rap. My favorite color is blue.

I think first dates should be safe and easy - like lunch or dinner in a nice place. Either are fine. After both people agree that they're up to more, then I'm up for whatever you're up for. Hiking, ice-skating, dancing (I'm not very good, but it's still fun), dinner & a movie (or either alone), an evening at home watching tv/movie with popcorn, an evening at home playing board games with pizza. I'm not always creative coming up with ideas, but I'm open to just about anything you might want to try.
