I'm looking for someone who wants to be with me, but doesn't -need- to be with me. I'd like to get to know the girl who is my friend, my companion, and my lover - someone who shares my sense of humor and whom I can talk to, and I do mean really talk to, not just "Hey, how are you, blah blah blah" small talk.

All of that doesn't need to happen at once. I actually think I would fear it if it did. Get to know me. I'm fun. I'm awesome. I'm... modest, too. We could have fun.

I'm bad at planning dates. The best dates are spontaneous - the kind where you call someone up and go "Hey, let's go!" and the next thing you know you're at the zoo watching the hippos, or on the Seawall at 1 am looking at the moon and talking to the stars about nothing at all.

Mostly I go for coffee or food at first. It's a good icebreaker, and allows for all that "getting to know you" conversation. From there, who knows? Let's go see a show, let's go to the Alamo or something like that. The world is a big place.
