| | The Internet certainly seems to be a time saving method which reduces much of the randomness in meeting a compatible mate, yet there is still a substantial "chance factor" involved and in the final analysis, chemistry figures significantly in soul mate selection. That said, it would be safe to say that most everyone "fishing" here has a reasonable amount of optimism in connecting with that special someone. What I offer: good listener and interesting conversation...plenty of humor and laughter (including at myself)...look a little younger than my age (coworkers have guessed my age at around 50)...old fashioned manners, consideration, and respect for a woman blended with some humility...a desire to do the "right thing"...enjoy travel (often try to mix in a little history or other interesting facet to the locale), movies, and some sports...not a "player" type...can elaborate further about myself in an email though much more is learned and sensed in a phone conversation. While I will not formulate a "mold" into which I feel a prospective special someone must fit (again, chemistry sorts out a lot of that), I tend not to be attracted to BBW (sorry). This would be, in large part, dictated by the "phone date(s)" but the essential elements would be flexibility (could range from coffee, lunch, or even dinner) and sufficient opportunity for lots of conversation in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. While certainly not an interview session, this meeting, after all, should be one where the "chemical reaction" should be given the best initial opportunity to evolve if it is going to happen.
