Public places are a crap shoot for meeting new people- doesn't matter if it's a bar or a church. At least here, you can get all those awkward initial questions answered without worrying about whether or not you have food in your teeth!
It's tough these days to find other adults with common interests and common resources with which to enjoy them. I'd really like to have someone to hang out with on a regular basis, but am in no hurry to make the wrong commitment. Being alone is really not that awful- but people keep catching me talking to myself, and that gets embarrassing after a while.
I'd like to find someone who can enjoy some of the same things that I do, but also has interests of his own. I'm interested in someone who wants to be with the real me, so I will not lie, cheat, or say just what you want to hear to get your attention. What you see is what you get. And I hope to find someone who will do the same for me. I've read some intros with very specific information on this site- mostly from people who have clearly had lots of exposure to what they DON'T want- which makes for interesting reading! In response to some of those people- I'm not a stalker, and I don't have a stalker. I'm not looking for a sugar daddy, nor do I want to be one (ok- sugar momma). I'm perfectly ok with you going(insert own passion here: ie golfing, fishing, etc)on Sat morning (or any other day), because I'll probably be on my bike anyway. But if you happen to ride, and can go with me, all the better. (That's bike as in bicycles, not the kind with motors:-) I have all my own real teeth, hair, and other body parts, and fully intend to keep it that way.
I'm attracted to men who are smart, ambitious, and passionate; men who are proud of their own accomplishments, and not afraid to tell you about them. I think a man should be humble when necessary, but I think its very cool when a man is able to justify being little bit arrogant. I don't take myself too seriously, and totally expect to be made fun of if I do something stupid. So if you do something stupid, don't expect me to hold back!
