Qualities I possess and which I feel are VERY IMPORTANT in order to sustain a relationship are:

A great sense of humor; essential in order to have fun anywhere - also for being able to rise above situations that aren't quite so funny.

Open-mindedness; for good communication - I must be able to talk about anything with/listen to anything from, my partner. Honesty and patience are key, because total understanding IS asking too much between Mars and Venus types (especially if neither one of us has read the book!) Even if it's not all good, a level of safety and comfort has to be there and, did I mention patience?

Passion - for life and each other. As far as life is concerned, always being open to try new places, food, experiences; all that life has to offer.

With respect to the relationship; never considering it "locked in." My guy will always feel appreciated and respected and will make me feel the same. I am a firm believer in keeping the home fires burning, whether it be for 10 years or 100 years!! Courtship should continue even into marriage; that's what keeps love alive.

Also, I am not interested in "dating my computer" (too cold and rigid to cuddle, doesn't make me laugh nearly enough), so I prefer to move quickly on to phone conversations and meet as soon as possible - why waste another day?

On a first date, I prefer to meet where we can talk, but also have a slight distraction; for instance, an outdoor concert,a comedy club, art museum, etc., which I feel takes the pressure off while making the date more interesting.....as interesting as possible without using our hands, anyway!
