I am a high school teacher,cheer/dance team coach & mother of one. I enjoy the performing arts and music from 50's doo-wop to 80's to classic rock to popular music today, even country from yester-year (Tanya Tucker, Alabama) and YES, I am a HUGE fan of MJ!!! I love my job, my family and friends. I am sincere, genuine and take pride in being a bit -old fashioned. I consider myself to be forthright and honest. I have no problem expressing my feelings and expect the same from a mate. I prefer the following qualities: ambitious, passionate about his career, cognizant of his appearance, but doesn't obsess over it & not afraid to get his hands dirty... (must have some blue collar skills) To respect a man & his way of life (his beliefs, morals and standards he lives by) is extremely important to me & vice versa. A man that is content with his life as is, but wants someone to share it with, someone I can come to for guidance, & can do the same with me regarding important decisions; one that I trust will have my best interests at heart; A man who is strong & not afraid to speak his mind, is a keen judge of character, interested in finding someone whom he wants to be best friends with, to encourage & support, believes in striving to make the other happy, yet give each other enough space to pursue hobbies/interests. I apologize for the fragments and run-ons! The characteristics that I feel describe a "man" are; protective, caring, genuine, & strong. To me, it is the little things that count: making sure your woman gets in the door safely at night, making a phone call at any given time to say "I miss you". I hear so much about what most women say they want...such as flowers, vacations, being wined & dined..That's all fine & well, but it means nothing to me if a man lacks passion & the desire to find that one special someone. He should not be afraid to express his feelings... To me there is nothing more sexy & "manly" than that. Most of all, I am drawn to a man that lives by a set of standards that are, to say the least, respectable. I think the inital attraction is vital...So , please have photos. Ofcourse, the initial, physical attraction should precede the chemistry, then the butterflies... My fave love quote: "You know love exists when the satisfaction of another becomes as significant to you as your own." I am not smothering, nor do I rush into relationships. I am usually open to anything as long as the company is good. I think it's vital to find out one another's basic interests first and then go from there. Of course, something casual and relaxing when first meeting suits me best. Being single I don't get to do many of the following, but in the company of my date I would love to fish, hike, attend broadway, movies & sporting events. I am a dancer and love to dance but only with someone who can keep up with me!
