I'm odd, observant, intelligent, sometimes witty, often oblivious, empathetic, friendly, thoughtful, helpful, reliable, quiet, sarcastic, self-deprecating, creeped out by Harry and the Hendersons, and prone to crushes on musicians, especially pianists and cellists.

I like black overcoats, comfortable boots,music, movies, satire, naan bread, reading, Tom Waits, The Muffs, photographers, and artsy people.

I don't really like rap, new country, aspartame, drizzle, UFC, the word guesstimate, seafood, or monkeys. Also, I'm not overly fond of heights.

I've never been outside of North America, but I really want to tour Europe, and frequently daydream about working on a farm or vineyard in Southern France. I'm not sure where that came from exactly. I also think an awful lot about vacations in secluded cabins, and the logistics involved in building an adult-sized tree house. In the meantime, I'd like to get out of the city more often, go camping, see some new scenery, and find ways to be more active. I'd also like to learn to cook.

I'm looking for someone to teach me how to cook, some interesting and smart-assed friends, and a significant other type, if things work out that way: Someone quirky, fun, intelligent, cute, open minded, a bit random, easy-going, and a little crazy (in a fun way, not a Charlie Manson way).

I can write and speak in complete sentences. That has to be a plus. I also have a Finance degree, and I'm thinking of going back for an MBA, but I think I'd rather be a bartender or photographer, so anything could happen I guess.

Something casual and quiet. Talking helps. I could go either way on the dinner and a movie thing.
