I'm a two-time U of I grad living/working in the north-central Illinois area. I'm finally at that point in life where finding "the [right] one" is more appealing than continuing the bachelor lifestyle... that being said, I guess I am looking for just one good woman that doesn't further add to my belief that they're all nuts.

For fun I like to do the typical guy things... bars, poker, golf, concerts, movies, tv, etc.. of course since buying a house a few months ago, I've realized that I better like working on it or else I'm in for a lot of trouble - good thing I do.

so since I joined this site I've been asked quite frequently "what it is that I'm looking for in a woman" so I guess I should just answer it here - because if you're with the right person, it doesn't matter what you do for a first date. The simple answer is "perfection"... I mean with the divorce rate what it is I have no intentions of "settling" until I find what I want. that being said, I guess the real question is what do I consider that to be... and the answer to that is - I have absolutely no freakin' idea, but I still have faith that I'll know it when I find it (or it finds me).

and even though I'll talk to just about anyone on here, I do have a few basics that I look for in someone that could have the potential to become more than just a friend. The first one being "no kids"... now don't think I'm a big jerk or anything because of that, it's just that I really want to start a family and I'm afraid that I would never be able to love "hers" as much as "ours" - just don't think it's fair to any parties involved to pretend that I could.

also, education is pretty much a must for me... I want to be a "bread contributor" and not a "bread winner" - I'm just afraid that it could lead to resentment down the line.

let's see, as far as what I am attracted to physically, there really is no "type" for me other than "someone that I'm attracted to" - either you feel it or you don't. and while I don't believe in "love at first site" I definitely believe in "lust at first site" and feel that anyone that doesn't know what I'm talking about is fooling themselves. on a side note, even though I say I don't have a "type" my friends and family would say that I definitely go for the tall/young/blonde look... I guess I can't really deny it.

and if I add you as a favorite... that's my subtle way of saying "you're cute/I'm interested" - at that point we're halfway there so if there's any interest on your part write me.
