Just checkin out this place, not sure I'll stay. I'm being held hostage by my two teenage sons who completely rock my world. Their friends all say I'm chill... I'm thinkin thats a good thing...

My boys are 15 and 17 and really are my center... They're gaining their independence (and so am I, lol) but everything I do at this point, besides work, still revolves around their physical needs.

My oldest is the caregiver type and watches over everything, he grew up way too fast, but I believe it's really just his nature. He's an old soul in a young body, is in a monogomous relationship with a beautiful young girl, has held a job since the day he turned 15, bought his car the day he got his driver's license and always has one eye on the whereabouts of my younger son and myself.

My youngest is neurologically impaired but doesn't let that stop him from doing anything... He's popular and happy and a straight A student on his own fruition. He hangs out with his older brother and they share the same friends, so I always know he's in good company and in good hands.

Our house is the house all the local teens feel safe at... There are usually about 8-10 kids here (I've known them all since kindergarten!) and they all treat me with intense respect and affection. I don't think the neighbors are overly fond of us, but I feel very blessed... crowded at times, but never lonely and never alone...

Adult company? What is that?

The summer? Has it started? I have a job that takes me all over the country during the week and I must say I am exhausted from travel and sure could use some refreshing down time.

I have a little dog we rescued from a kill shelter who is attached to me like a baby... I love her so much, even though she's kind of naughty lol. I will stop traffic if a wayward animal ends up in the road, and have even carried a broken bleeding cat off a highway and laid it down onto the grass to die in peace.

My sons each have a cat, who I rarely see, and we have one indoor/outdoor cat who thinks shes a dog and follows us around the block on every walk the dog and I take.

So if you're still reading this ridiculous novel... that's my deal

I believe a first date (meeting) should be a very easy, breezy beverage... no pressure, no expectation, little investment of time and/or expenditures
