Just moved here from Philly a few months ago to be closer to family and and go to school. Having a hard time getting used to the "southern" lifestyle. Can't seem to get the hang of that fake niceness to your face and stab you in the back when you turn around kind of thing. I'd rather if people were just upfront instead of phony. I do not claim to be perfect or close to it, but everyone has preferences in what they like in the opposite sex. So, please, do not read my preferences and write and lecture me for having them. You have yours, too. It is just about knowing what you like and what you do not, not hurting anyone's feelings.
I love animals and have a lot of pets. If you do not like dogs or cats(or any other animal) we probably will not get along well. Animals are unconditional and I think people could learn a lot from them in terms of how to treat each other!
Currently, I am in school persuing my RN. It took me a while, but I finally made it to college. I am a single mom of an 18 year old who is also in college right now.
I am NOT looking for someone who is dependent or wants me to finance his life. I'm looking for a man who knows how to treat me the way a lady should be treated. Is it too much to ask for a man to take a lady on a first DATE anymore without expecting her pay or put out? Not looking for someone who wants to sit on the couch and channel surf or who thinks my house is a free restaurant. I have cooked dinner for the past 18 years and watched my share of DVD's and would like to be taken OUT for a change.
Prefer to find a man who does not drink or smoke as these are not part of my lifestyle. I do have an occasional drink, but do not want a man who drinks daily or does not know when to stop.
Not looking for a man who is stuck in the past. If you still have the Burt Reynolds mustache or think wearing the same clothes you wore 20 years ago is okay, please pass me by. I'm not so much into the shaved head thing either or the facial hair. My current pet peeve is the goofy mustaches. If a woman walked around wearing hair stlyes from the 70's people would laugh at her, so why is acceptable for men to get lazy and not update with the times?
If you refer to yourself as a teddy bear or any other childlike name, I'm probaly not going to respond. Just not into the cutesy thing in grown men.
I do not think at this point in my life I am looking to get married or have more kids, although it could be a remote possibility if I met the right guy.

Would [prefer to meet someplace casual and see if there is a connection before planning out some fantasy date that will turn out to be disappointing to both of us.
