Easy going, great sense of humour, smart...is that you?
I'm not looking for someone I can live with, but for someone I can't live without. I'm a hopeless romantic who, like you, has been through tough experiences but yet, still believes in true love. A look, a smile, a touch...and your heart melts. Not expecting to find a perfect man, but I am looking for the perfect man for me.
All that being said......
I've learned that putting too many expectations from the start doesn't work, so starting out as friends is best, and if things move on from there...Bonus! It would be nice to have someone to go out and have coffee or dinner with. Someone to watch a movie with... Someone who doesn't take life or themselves too seriously; someone who's not afraid to be themselves, who doesn't have to be 'on' all the time.
I believe a should be treated man like a man should be treated and in return expect to be treated the way a woman should be treated; with love, respect, humour, trust and passion. I'm a nurtering person who loves to take care of those around me. I love cooking big dinners and take care of my loved ones when they need me to. I don't believe in smothering anyone, everyone has a basic need for their own personal time and space, and I respect that. I also don't believe that a 'couple' has to be doing everything together all the time. I don't believe in having to change someone to suit your needs, if they are perfect for you, those changes will happen without even trying. I'm not a perfect person, but I am a hell of a damn good woman, I know this. Push and I'll push back, take my hand and walk beside me and we can go on forever.
I've got a pretty busy life as I'm sure you do too, but having someone for the quiet, down times would be nice. With all the profiles on local people, you'd think this wouldn't be so hard, but geeeez...what does one have to do meet someone? Nope, can't tap dance or juggle, but a can cook a pretty good meal...does that help? LOL
I'm quiet, easy going, smart and have been told I have a great sense of humour and I'm hoping you do too, because if you don't, I will be laughing at you and not with you, and that's just rude. :) I like having deep meaningful conversation as well as sharing the silly fun moments. I'm not into the bar scene, I'll leave that to the young pups. I'd prefer a night in, cuddled up on the couch or a drive down a country road, to nowhere. I love camping, fishing and just being out in nature. I can sit at the cottage and do nothing and never be bored. I appreciate the small, simple things in life. I'm not afraid of letting someone know how I feel about them, or showing them. I quit smoking over a year ago, Jan. 17,'08, and put on a few pounds because of it, but now I'm looking to take care of that. Wanna help? LOL
People that judge others simply by what they see, or by what they have heard is simply ridiculous. I guess you could say that in some ways I'm a little old fashion. "Do undo others as you would have them do unto you." Words to live by. Life gets complicated enough on it's own without adding to it, so I try to not worry about things that I don't need to be worrying about. I hate drama, and do my best to avoid it.

I won't bother with someone who says they don't have one or can't get one. Sorry, but that tells me you have something to hide, and well..I don't have time for games. NOT INTERESTED in phone or cybersex!

I'm sure we'd be chatting a bit before this point, so I'm thinking we will probably figure it out together.
But hey, meeting for the first time is stressful enough, so lets not add to it by trying to "impress", getting to know each other is what's important, so somewhere quiet for coffee, and/or a walk is good.
