I think everyone who knows me would agree that I am very independent, have a good sense of humor, am a handful, but have a good heart. I have never been married and have no kids so in that you may guess that I may be a little different from the norm, but I hope you will take a chance anyway. Timing is everything... I can take care of myself but would like to think that there is that person, even at this age, that would make me want to make room in the closet... I live in the country, raise and show horses, have too many dogs and a cat and really love animals. I still want one 2 legged creature to be with for all time. Someone who can accept me and who I can accept. It is far too late to try and change each other. We both need to respect each other for our similitarities and our differences. It can be all about me or all about you. Balance is so important in all things. I love men who are "outdoorsy" but not too outdoorsy. In other words, if you don't own a suit or tie, or if you wear cowboy boots with a suit, you are probably a little too "outdoorsy" for me. But don't get me wrong, I am a jeans and boots kind of girl but I can dress up with the best of them when necessary. I just want someone who is intelligent, has no criminal history, no communicable diseases, all of his own teeth or a reasonable facsimile thereof, money in the bank and the ability to cook and do his own laundry. Not enough? I would also love to meet someone with a good sense of humor, a sense of style and good common sense. More? He should love the outdoors and look good in a pair of blue jeans; he should be able to fix things (well, that is not mandatory but it sure is nice); he can wear a suit or tuxedo if needed, but a casual lifestyle is his preference; he is not silly, he is not afraid of independent women, he is comfortable in his own skin and is not too "type A"; he is masculine without being a bully, and in touch enough with his feminine side to connect with a woman without being feminine; he can cook when needed, make a bed, and take care of himself. Well, if I have not scared you off at this point, take a chance with me... It might be worth it for both of us!

I would just meet for quick drink. If that passes the test, then a fun first date is out in the country somewhere at some hole in the wall place or cooking dinner together and grilling out and having a glass of wine.
