For me, the most important aspects of a relationship between two people are above all honesty, loyalty, and unconditional love. Too many times, couples are putting conditions on their love. To me this is not love, but manipulation. Love could never manifest itself under such conditions. Trusting your partner is extremely important in allowing individual growth and advancement in life. I feel sobriety is important, whereas people tend to hinder their real feelings, and accept more than they would otherwise. The things that I value the most and will not compromise in a relationship is sobriety. I have had a rough go around with drugs and alcohol over the years and now, I have 5 years clean and want to be with someone that doesn’t rely on drugs or alcohol as an outlet for fun, stress, inhibitions or whatever other reasons people go too far with this type of vice. This has been very hard to find in a man. I haven’t been in an intimate relationship since I have been clean and sober. I want to be with a man that sees the joy in life and embraces it in a natural state of mind. I enjoy natural highs, the kind that requires you to fuel energy. Physical stamina is a must. Intellect is right under sobriety as far as importance to me in a relationship. Seduce my mind and the rest will follow, with a quickness. I am yearning for intellectual stimulation. Teach me something I don’t already know. He must believe in God and live accordingly. My children must be loved as much as I am whereas we are a team. I am too serious of a person and would enjoy a man that was light-hearted. A man that doesn’t take life too seriously and could explain to me why would win my heart over for life. I insist a man be honest, dignified, have integrity and be able to have conversation of intellectual depth. He must stand for what he believes in and yet have an open mind. He must have much love for his mother and father, even if they raised him wrong. We have to be grateful at least for life! I want to connect with a man that is already happy and isn't waiting for "the one" to make him happy. I don't believe in trying to change a person and have learned not to love someone for their "potential". Just be true to who you are and real good things will happen for you. I like a man that stands for what he believes in and protects the ones he loves. He must own his decisions and responsibilities. If these things are not present in a man, I would feel as though I am settling for less than I deserve. This could explain why I am still alone. I believe that this man is out there somewhere and fate will one day bring us together. I am a 36 year old women looking for a best friend and a lifetime partner. I love to ski, boat, hike, motorbikes, camp, fish, dance, scuba, travel and read. I am looking for these interests in a man so I can do these things with the one I love. You must love kids and animals. I am looking for an intelligent, assertive, attentive and devoted man that is ready to settle down and grow old with the one and only lady in his life (ME).
