I recently heard about this site from a friend and thought I'd check it out. I've also got profiles on yahoo and match, but aren't a member there - I'm mostly just curious. I have gone on 3 or 4 internet dates over the past few years, and made one friendship from it. The other dates were just awkward, basically, because the people I met weren't honest about who they really were. Why put up ten year old pictures, saying that it's you now, and guarantee a disappointing first impression..? Also, I don't smoke and smoking physically bothers me. Please don't say you don't if you really do.

Anyway, I'm still really just looking around - you never know who's out there till you take a look.

About me, I'll try to keep this fairly simple. I couldn't possibly sum my entire self here , in only a few lines - so I'll just go to a basic idea for now.

I'm a pretty easy going and friendly person. I generally like people and love people watching. I have a positive personality and believe being a negative person is genuinely unhealthy for a person's mind and body. I believe in keeping it healthy for the most part, but am not a health freak by any means.

Music - it's not everything, but I do love it. I love going to concerts in smaller clubs - The House of Blues in Anaheim is a favorite spot. I think a person's favorite music & radio station tell a little about a person's personality. I used to listen to Indie 103.1 - alternative/punk/indie bands, but the stations gone now :pout:. I currently flip back-n-forth between KROQ & 98.7, but mostly do CDs and new bands found on m-space. If you do country or a lot of rap, we're probably not going to be much of a match.

I love a good indie film and tend to stay away from the blockbusters. Most of my favorite places and things are typically very off the beaten path. Sports.., not my thing - you will NEVER find me watching a game on TV, with the exception of Super Bowl, and that's ALL about being with friends and loved ones, BUT if you want to check out an art exhibit, museum, performance art, concert, etc. - I'm your guy.

Physical attraction isn't everything, but it is REAL, and there's gotta be something there for both parties. These aren't harden fast rules, but typically, I'm attracted to dark hair. I like edgier looking people, quality tattoos and color streaks in your hair is very sexy. In fact, I love wild/different hair! Blonds aren't usually my thing, but if it's a spikey "punk" blond, you've got my attention, LOL!

Finally, I'm a Democrat(need I even have to say that, LOL!?).

Just trying to keep it honest...

First dates depend on the person and mutual chemistry. I've had first dates last 30 minutes and others 3 days (that one turned into a 4 year long relationship!). Anythings possible if there's a true connection. That being said, meeting for drinks at happy hour is a good old standard, unless we seem to have lots in common & really hit it off on the phone, then perhaps something more. It's completely open.

The important thing here for us is to be honest with one another. After all, isn't the point to meet up with someone who you share genuine common interest with, and once we meet, I think we'll both know if there's a spark, right?
