I thought I was beginning again after becoming a widow several years ago, butI'm entering a whole new chapter in my life...reinvesting in myself as I go along. I've always been pretty straight forward and honest.....so here goes, guys. In January of 2009 after a series a horrible headaches the Docs at U/M Ann Arbor found a tumor the size of a small orange on the right side of my head. What followed was a 9 operation to remove that, and then (so far) 6 months of recuperation. I'm much better and have all my facilities about me, I've lost a small percentage of left eye peripheral vision on each eye, but it's coming back slowly Until I retrain my brain I have to depend on both my kids or my sister to haul me around. I feel undateable because of it, but I'll get passed that, juss as I've surpassed the other debilitating things that happened before and after the surgery. I'm fully mobile, do my own cooking, cleaning" but the Doc has limited my driving for now.

I'm a very earthy individual, quick witted, and more than a little nuts. I can laugh at myself, and in that arena I have plenty of material. I love to grow flowers, but prefer to buy my veggies. Kayaking 25 to 30 miles a day is but a short cruise for my friends and I. Thinking about cooking classes. I have yet to figure out how to cook for one person. I'm fine cooking 20, but for one...not so much. Also looking forward to reaquaint myself with painting, and (oh Lord!!!) learning how to throw a pot on a wheel...look out!! I'll be the one covered with clay.

This phase of my life will find me moving to a small town in Northwestern Michigan on the shores of Lake Michigan into a cottage that I have owned since the 60's. Where sunsets are magical and oh so romantic..... To make that happen, I first have a house to sell, of course that dream id pending on the sale of my main house.

Once I get settled, I'd like to get involved in a group formed to help keep Hamlin Lake alive. I have two wonderful children. Children? Nope..they're all grown up, out of the house and on their own.

I've decided that the "relationship field" needs to be expanded to include this choice "Friends first, then...?" I want to be perfectly clear on this issue....I don't believe in ANY organized religion, or the tenants of the so called christianity sector.

I'm non religious in the organized sense. I don't believe in any one religion, but in all beliefs, more so I believe in the power of positive thinking and the great pull of the universe to lead me in the right direction. Being negative,or angry, or depressed accomplishes nothing, whereas a sense of humor and well as having a positive attitude seems to fit into my life;otherwise I may as well go screaming into the night. Enough about me......what are you up to???? HMMMM???
