I love to be in the elements and on the move, but a great day can also be devoted to reading and cooking. Literature, theater, film, acting, yoga and watching basketball are among my interests. I am a daily Post reader and love to talk about national and global events. For the past few years I've been acting with a multi-generational community theater group and even made a movie that premiered last summer at the AFI in Silver Spring. When I’m not walking the red carpet, I enjoy walking in nature. A bike ride, day hike or a few hours in the garden appeal to me as much as a museum visit or concert. I am not as well traveled as my three grown daughters, but love to travel to places near and far. I am passionate about my professional work with exceptional needs kids. I also teach adult literacy classes. I would describe myself as fairly high energy, outgoing and warm. I enjoy my own company but cherish spending time with friends and family whom I hold dear.
