Originally from Southern California, I moved to China after doing business around Asia for over 6 years. I spent my first year here studying Chinese full time, while maintaining a consulting business on the side. Then I launched back into being a full time executive. Now, after 3 years in Shanghai, I am still loving it and have no plans to leave. My Chinese is conversational, but I have a long way to go to be truly fluent ... I'll get there. ;-) In the meantime, I also try to stay very active ... playing sports, exploring new places in Shanghai, traveling around China/Asia, etc. Of course, these things are more fun if you have the right woman with which to enjoy them.
