I am looking for people to enjoy the outdoors with me. Kayak, cycling, hiking are my favorite ways to spend my free time. I paddled the Deer Group in early July, and it takes little to convince me to load up the kayak and head out for a weekend. There are so many places to paddle, so close to home yet removed all at the same time.

I can also be a homebody. I love to cook, spending time experimenting in the kitchen, great music playing, opening a good bottle of wine or two and then enjoying the meal. If you are a fan of spicy food, so much the better.

The travel bug has bitten me later in life, and now that my sons are older, I look forward to traveling more. I have been to Mexico a few times and really look forward to going back, exploring more, mixing with the locals, learning the language and of course Salsa and Banda dancing. Of course with the kind of winter we have had in 2008/2009 I am pretty sure any warm place south would be a wonderful change.

I am a half-time father to my teen-aged sons, and I am so proud of the young men they have become. As they are getting older, my time is becoming more and more my own, so I want to explore, learn, play and enjoy. I have a great career, and I get an outrageous amount of vacation time to enjoy myself.

I am a gentleman, I like to hold open doors, be respectful and kind. I believe it is not about what you have, but rather what you bring. I bring an attitude that is way younger than my calendar age. What about you?

I know that my profile says that I am interested in dating, but like most people, I would like to find the one person that is my fit, hopefully the last great love of my life. Until that happens, I am enjoying my life and all that it offers.

Although meeting for coffee is quite cliche, it seems to be a good safe place to start.
For a first "real" date, dinner with great conversation and then a walk along the water. However a paddle along the coast with a shared picnic would be great too!
