So, I’m trying to casually pursue a serious relationship. That means; I'm open to meeting my soul-mate, but not rushing anything. I'd like to meet intelligent, career minded women, with good values and whit (probably a sarcastic side). ~ Someone that compliments me; a hard worker, but definitely fun, laid-back, and with personal goals. I still have a lot that I would like to accomplish and I think the right woman could have a great life achieving her goals along side me.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME: A Thirty-five year old professional; born and raised in the 313 (with a decade in Manhattan). My personality is a mix of quirkiness, a New Yorker's grit, but definitely some Michigander when it comes to temperament and values. I'm a geek as far as: politics, technology and business (and sports). I also bleed Spartan green and am an avid Pistons fan.

Interests: film buff, love a good sitcom, almost any intensely competitive game/match, and usually up for live entertainment (games, music, theater, even the occasional lecture). Dining/eating-out is more my lifestyle; but my cooking has impressive moments (always fresh and healthy).

My career is important to me. I'm a Financial Advisor to pay the bills but an entrepreneur for the intellectual/financial pursuit. My hope is my ventures provide lifestyle flexibility to achieve my personal goals (family, PhD, and financial independence). I've been described as bright. But I would say I am more interested and inquisitive - combine that with some good listening skills leads to experiential intelligence (not to diminish a fine education).

Most importantly; I'm thoughtful, (with a strong family example) and I generally live life by the golden rule. I've been described as a “man’s, man,” albeit with a sensitive side and varied interests. Definitely laid-back; but passionate - with an intensity that can be summoned. To that end a business partner recently called me a "Diplomat among Warriors," a reminder that although I can be a "bull in a china shop" my ego is often tempered to achieve the desired outcome.

I'm Very Loyal to those close to me (and have life-long friendships). And drum-roll...Dogs and cats like me too.

WHAT I WANT IN HER: Well, I skip the cheesy joke. I like a classic style; relatively-low maintenance; with a “Cuteness" in the sense that her smile exudes warmth and reflects spirit. Athletic attitude and competitive nature, along with an active lifestyle: enjoys going for walks, sports (maybe a little soccer or tennis), and skiing in the winter. It wouldn't hurt if she liked to watch football/basketball, and to catch a game every once in a while. Adventurous; Drama free; Strong; Independent; and someone that wants to share her life not change it.

I used to say that I wanted a woman that was "smarter than me"; I now better understand what I meant: a passion that makes her shine (be it mother, executive, doctor, or artist). I think it’s important to admire the person that you’re with and nothing is sexier than woman's energy and intelligence lighting up a conversation.

She is somewhere between very intelligent (sometimes academic) and street smarts (good schooling complimenting an everyman perspective); Goofy; Interested; and knows how to take care of business.

Fashionable, but a T-shirt and jeans girl on the weekends. Good taste in wine, and beer; with an epicurean interest (and maybe a desire to cook for me every once in a while).

My goal - to find the "cool girl" that knows how to make life playful and appreciates the little things. As well as how to get down and dirty to create what she wants.
