Down to earth guy who raised his stepson and put him through college. He’s been on his own and I’m very proud of him. In 2007 I retired from fairly hi viz civilian position at the local Army Installation. I'm stable, financially responsible, secure, loyal, honest, caring and would do anything for a friend. My values are traditional values and my personal ethical standards are as high as when I was working. I'm still fairly shy when it comes to meeting women. Would think I’ve overcome that by now. I’ve gotten better (lol) but still…..Not usually the one to introduce myself unless something creates segue. I'm a no pressure kind of person when it comes to dating and relationships. I think it’s best to be friends and if more develops, so be it. If not---can never have too few friends. Been told I’m “too nice” and women are looking for the "bad boy" behavior. I respect others and don't mistreat anyone. But once the respect and trust is breached---fawegeddaboutit! LOL Pretty flexible and open to anything. What else about me? Emigrated from Italy (Island of Sicily) when I was 5; am a U.S. citizen and proud of both heritages. Grew up in Jersey/New York and headed south living near Richmond VA 12 years but have been in Martinez, GA for about 25 years. I cook and I make killer lasagna (mom's recipe). I drive a truck and own a bass boat (but I’m no “bubba”); fished and loved the shore growing up in Jersey, but the Atlantic’s a little way off from Martinez Ga. Get to Savannah now and then. Enjoy opera and classical; Sarah Brightman, Charlotte Church, Italian tenors (hey what can I say?). I also like house music (dance/high energy); I dance Latin hustle , cha-cha and eastern swing. Rusty on rest of the ballroom, so in Jan 2008 I started taking group dance lessons. It’s fun, good exercise and keeps me out of trouble (smile). I appreciate the arts but haven't done much in this area. As long as activities don’t threaten life and limb, I’m open to it, but I won’t do roller coasters (that’s another story). For sports: I like European league soccer and my favorite team is Juventus (Italian Serie A). Even though I've been south for so long I can't get into NASCAR. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
