Life is not the destination, but the Journey. Just looking for a best friend first, then who knows what? I am not in a rush. You shouldn't be either. Work hard-Play Hard-Love hard. Honesty and an open heart is what I seek. If spunk, brains, loyalty, humor & beauty can be tossed in that’s even better. Drugs, Drama, and sense of entitlement are my big turn-offs. I enjoy cooking, yard work, and getting up early. I enjoy traveling and camping adventures. I enjoy golfing, but you don't have to. I know who I am and I value people who know who they are.. .Looking for someone who is emotionally stable and happy with who they are, and able travel and enjoy life. Must have a positive outlook and recognize the value of a positive spirit. When the right one comes along, I have no fears. I am a Karma believer, and have benefitted from it and been burned by it. I have been told I am not funny, sometimes very funny, I can be sarcastic. I lost my best friend and Love of my life to cancer. While she was dying she told me to love again, as I loved her. Make someone as happy as I made her. Let go and be free to live and love. So there I am the good with the bad? The Same blue eyes in the mirror from age 10 to 42. Just a lot wiser. What are you doing with your time? I am far from needy, just hoping to expand my people contacts. Not into the bar or party life. Pretty laid back I have an uncanny ability to spot lies and deception, so don't try. A great smile and the intangible qualities grab my eye. I hope for some quality replies. A smart & funny email would be great. I live alone, with my dog. I keep myself pretty busy, but I always make time for what is important.

Some valuable things I have learned that I have tried to teach my sons, but I guess they will have to learn on there own, like I did.
1) No easy way to get a difficult task done, Just do it Well.
2) Work hard and things will happen.
3) Plan for the future, but enjoy the day.
4) Value and respect your Elders, listen to them and hear their words.
5) Simple things bring great pleasures.
6) Grass is not greener on the other side.
7) Reward yourself, and share with others.
8) Be responsible for what you do and say.
9) Never be to busy to tell your Lover you love her.
10) Always be polite and use your manners.
11) If you are right, you don’t have to tell everyone.
12) Find some joy and happiness in everything you do.

I think a good first date, would happen after talking and seeing if there is a spark, then a coffee, or lunch. Maybee a picnic the second date just to have time alone to chat or go for a walk. Very open and flexible.
