First of all, it says I'm looking to "hang out," but to be honest I'm not sure how different that is from being friends.
Nextly, I chose "big & tall" despite being not exceptionally tall.
Finally, I am The Octopus because "squid" and "kraken" were not available.

"Description (Mandatory)," eh? OK, fine. Personality wise, I'd say I'm valiant, upstanding, decent, stalwart in and out of a crisis, a true sweetheart (so my female friends tell me), and pretty much a kid still figuring out this "grown-up" concept. "This guy is a Boy Scout," you may scoff, but be not so hasty to judge; I have my edgy moments. Being anti-trendy is a hobby of mine, but I'm still subject to an occasional lapse of insecurity; time to stop reading Maxim and Cosmo and other such magazines. Recently I've embraced my inner geek; it's the whole to-thine-own-self-be-true thing. So if 'swords & sorcery' and sci-fi themes aren't up your alley, you might be looking for somebody else. I work (a) full-time at a job I don't totally hate (but getting slowly closer everyday) and (b) less-than-part-time at a job I rather enjoy. (a) is the security officer, (b) is the merch-guy/roadie/sometime-sound-tech for a local band. The band can't afford to pay me full-time hours, and I gotta put food on the table somehow. The true dream, however, is to get into the local film industry as a crew worker (boom mike or camera operator, maybe work my way up to editing).

Anyhow, I'm looking for people who won't judge me, try to change me (without my help/permission), take unfair advantage of my good nature and willingness to please, or do any other dispicable activity that has happened to me before. Just lots of laughs and good times; although the occasional debate makes excellent mental excercise (plus, it's just no fun agreeing ALL the time!). I value intelligence, inner strength, an open mind (but not so open, the brain falls out), informed opinions, positively realistic attitudes, and a child-like (not necessarily childISH) willingness to have some fun!

I'm a live-music junkie, so anytime I'm in a venue listening to a band onstage is a good time. Then again, dates are about getting to know each-other, and that's tough with loud music and people shouting all around. Lunch or supper might be better.
