About Me
These profile questions amuse me. I understand the do you smoke, drink or take drugs questions. I'm not sure I get the "do you have a car?" question. Why is that important, really? And does anyone answer "no?" Is POF concerned that the person responding might not be able to take a person out on a date because they have no wheels? And the whole fish personality thing. I tried to pick one, but fish aren't that all appealing to me and trying to pick one that would obviously communicate something about me is pointless. I mean, really, . . . look at the choices. LOL But I picked dolphin anyway because they are adorable and smart!! And I have yet to understand why men post pictures of themselves without shirts on, in their underwear, in bed or of their cars or dogs. Really? I have my own car (3 actually) and I'm not looking to date your dog. I would be interested in you - with your clothes on preferably (at least for a while LOL).
Summer is almost over - I can't believe it. Work is good, life is good and I can't complain at all. This economy has been tough on so many people that I know - I am incredibly thankful for what I have. I am a well educated, financially independent professional and am looking for a partner who is the same. Someone who knows what they want, and what they don't and is not afraid of self-improvement. Someone who makes monogamy a way of life. Someone who is athletic and active and enjoys those kinds of activities together and then curling up and relaxing afterward.
I have a wide circle of friends and play recreational co-ed vollyball several times a week and wallyball a couple of times a week. I enjoy pretty much anything, but I'm a calculated risk taker. The first time you meet me, you might think I am distant and reserved. Sometimes it takes a while to get to know me, and some people longer than others. LOL With the right person - it shouldn't take long. I love to laugh and believe that being happy is a choice.
Because my DNA seems to gravitate toward one relationship at a time, I have no interest in casual relationships or one night stands either - so if you want to play around, I'm probably not your girl.
First Date
I would never presume there is a best way to have a first date? There are so many things to do and it would depend upon what each person liked.
I can much easier make a list of what not to do on a first date!! LOL Hmmmm. Let's see.
Attend a relationship seminar. Go to your ex's wedding. Double date with your parents. Go to the dentist. Get matching tattoos. Adopt a baby.
Stuff like that. Oh, yeah - a visit to the ER probably wouldn't be a good idea either.
