I don't care what you tell me as long as it is the truth. I *am* serious, focused, and intrepid. I will also make you laugh...from the belly. I also do not make claims about myself that aren't true. I don't do anything to impress. What I do or say I do or say because it is a true reflection of who I am. If you are cynical I don't blame you...but your cynicism would lead you astray in my regard. I am here looking for friends. I especially would like to meet folks who enjoy (live for?) good conversations.

I am a philosopher. That is what I am. No one pays me to be one, though I'd love for that to happen. I am a philosopher because that is what I was built for.

If you enjoy smarts, I got em. I generally score from 140 to 160 on IQ tests. For the last 27 years I've read three or four fat books a week...nonfiction, academic books (I have not read one novel in my whole adult life)...and I have usually even read the footnotes, even when all they say is "ibid." I make no apology for mentioning this aspect of my self. It is who I am and perhaps it will interest you. If doesn't interest you, it doesn't. If you take it as bragging or arrogance, I can't help you on that...other than to say it isn't. If it intimidates you, it shouldn't...I am absolutely disarming in person.
