I am driven.

Odds are that someone in the cosmos ends up reading this inner monologue. Odds are even better we'll never meet. Odds are best that we share no more in common than a favorite basketball team or something on the silver screen.

Still, I love playing against the odds.

I am no follower of men, yet I yearn to serve others. I take risks and am driven by unseen forces. And while I tend to view the world through a lens of cynical realism, you'll find no greater fool for life's beauty than me. I am in the business of moving mountains.

I find myself guilty of asking strangers what "you do" for a living, as if that could sum up anyone on the planet. I'm a victim of outdated Depeche Mode lyrics and business tycoon dealings. I admit loving fast cars, large engines, professional sports, and all things inspired by adrenalin. I also admit there is nothing more sublime than the humbling force of gale winds crashing waves inches from my face. Nature is as much an aphrodisiac as it is a reminder of the miraculous. I admit that the Divine is undeniably in my face, at all times.

I thrive on words. On rare occasion, an arrangement of letters will perform to our senses like a provocative, flavored breeze of bliss. They'll kiss our literary lips and caress our imagination...daring us to describe a stranger as if they were kin.

I have an insatiable desire to set foot on every continent, and have traveled overseas considerably. Linguistics is a passion of mine (3 languages so far and counting). I yearn for intellectual stimulation, but reserve the right to be an aimless fool.

I'm just a guy looking to beat life's odds.
