Chaper III - New Life Beginnings 2009-10

OK Chapter III has started in my life and the opportunities for new beginnings. I was off this site for a year....but changes occurred in the last month that have brought me back here. I read what I had written in Chapter II and all of it is still true....with a few updates. Jack dog my good buddy past away this Halloween weekend. He was a good friend and buddy that I will always have pleasant memories of him and the good times we had together. Than the same week I was dumped by the lady I was seeing for the past year. It was a shame....we had some great times together. But loses in life always bring new opportunities....I know I will have another dog/dogs in the future, when the time is right and I know I will meet another great lady again, when the time is right. I’ve also decided to retire at the end of this year 09 and will be looking at moving back down to Florida. My parents are retired in Live Oak, FL. I like the northern part of the state and hope to find a few acres close to a nice lake or ocean and build a home.

Chapter II - The makeover 2008-09

Hello, if your reading this....well something got your attention. Now all I have to do is keep it, right. What makes me different from all the other man on here? So I decided to do a complete makeover and rewrite my profile. You can learn a lot reading the forums on POF.

Well...I’m tall, 6’2 and love a lady in heels, I’m 210....healthy, fit and I love to stay active, I’m 58 and I’m handsome, too. I know because my Mama told me so....hmmmmm, but than....Mama’s say that about all their kids, right?

It took me the first 50 years to figure out the true meaning of God....and now I have the next 50 to enjoy it....I plan to live to be 100 myself and have fun doing it. Personally I don’t do religions anymore....to many of them all claiming to be the truth. I found a direct relationship with God works best for me.

I’m lucky to have a successful career with the postal service and with 32 years I can retire anytime I like. I’m looking for that one special lady who stills wants love and passion in her life....and enjoys having fun and playing. I want to be in love...and in lust...again with one good women. I learned a long time ago...one good women...is all I need or want. Not into young girls either....give me a real women over 40 please.

I’ve traveled in my career. I grew up in South FL, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale and started work down there. Later went to Memphis……Elvis and me were tight...what he’s dead. In 2001 headed out to the great NW and lived in Seattle for a few years...beautiful place and I would love to visit again....but the great NW and this southern gentleman did not get along to well and I was happy to come back east of the Mississippi river again. Interesting story to tell here...if your curious.

So now I’m in Pittsburgh...Moon Twp. I love this area, close to the airport, close to downtown, close to all the shopping and restaurants you could ever want, close to the Montour trail, close to my office...all with great views as you drive. But...one thing I have learned in my travels, is that it does not matter to me...where I live. Every part of the country has it’s good and bad...it’s whom I’m with that matters most. Love trumps all for me. So...for the right lady...I could live anywhere.

Ok, if your still reading this I must have gotten your attention, so here’s more. I love cooking...BBQ and southern fried are my specialties. I do try and keep a balanced healthy diet, but....pig fat rules. In Memphis I learned the fine art of BBQ and got involved in competition cooking for many years. Bragging a little...I did win my fair share of trophies cooking both BBQ and southern fried catfish. I love watching food TV..it gets me inspired...I love doing new and different things in the kitchen. Hey...that’s cooking now.

In Seattle I learned the fine art of coffee. I had started grinding my beans fresh each morning before going to Seattle...but learned a whole lot more out there. The Costco stores, which originated in Seattle, all fresh roasted coffee beans in the stores. I would pick up whatever type they were roasting that morning...still warm. That’s when I learned the real meaning of fresh coffee. Later when I came to Pittsburgh I missed the fresh roast...so I started roasting my own coffee beans. Fun little hobby and great coffee, too. For the right lady...how about coffee in bed...the Sunday paper...and me. Oh....also got involed in glass blowing and glass bead making at a local art studio. I now have a great respect for glass art and one lesson I learned real quick about glass blowing......Damn it's HOT.


I love the sunshine...oceans...beaches...star filled nights...cool breezes and playing outside. Love kissing...ever hear about the 10 second kiss when greeting your love. Ya'see it takes the first 5 seconds just to unwind, relax, redirect your thoughts....than the next 5 seconds you start to melt into the feeling, into the passion and start to feel the love. Try it some time, it works.

Jack dog and I....oh, Jack dog in the pictures is my good buddy. Him and I have crossed the country together many times, he loves to ride in the car with the top down...stay in hotels...see new places....hmmmmm, so do I.

Anyway Jack dog and I love going for bike rides on the trail. I was feeling guilty leaving him at home when I went for a ride, he can’t keep up with me anymore. So...I got him a trailer to ride in behind me. He loves it and I have fun pulling him...makes for a lot better workout pulling him around for 8-10 miles....and the smiles from people on the trail will stay with us forever. :-)

I am starting to enjoy the winter months...it does have it’s own beauty and I do have all the southern boys winter survival equipment...hot tub...fireplace...heated bed...and heated car seats. One thing I have learned about winter...it is so much more pleasant...when you have a special person to stay indoors with. Nothing like 2 warm bodies snuggling under the covers.

Mountains are also great....if you have never crossed the Rockies or drove the Blue ridge parkway in a convertible...it's an experience not to be missed. :-) Always wanted to take a drive up the Maine coast....and stop at every little restaurant and dock along the way....to eat lobster and drink beer. Weekend trips are great fun...love going to fairs...arts & crafts events and some flea markets. Don’t care for TV sports myself...Ok, Ok I confess....I would rather go shopping than watch sports on TV. Now...shopping at Victory Secrets will always get my attention and away from the TV...hmmmmmmmm away from anything...going to VS honey...I’ll drive.

For all the motorcycle ladies.....I did the motorcycle thing back in the 70-80's.

First Date......sure if anyone is interested in getting out for a little fun and meeting.

The biggest issue I've seem with all these dating sites is finding someone real who wants to get out, have some fun and meet. I look at it this way, until you look into someones eyes......see their smile.....hear them laugh....well...it's not real, only a fantasy profile your looking at.....right?

I see these profiles as a way of saying.....you sound interesting....I like your pictures, hey that's enought at this point to say, Hi talk and meet.

So for a first date take your pick;

We can do....breakfast....lunch....coffee....happy hour.....dinner.....walking....bike ride....country drive, hey I'm easy and up for anything. I leave my office by 4:00 everyday with weekends and holidays off....lots of time to get out for some fun.
