Things have happened. Really.

All I can say is this site works and it works exceptionally well when you're not really looking. I was just here minding my own business, posting my poems and carrying on -- then one fine day someone contacted me. I'll spare ya'll the cliches and that other stuff, but she is exactly the person I was looking (but not actively so) for.

It's hard to find that kind of intellegence, heart and plain old horse sense in a person -- but I did it. If I can find someone on this site, you can too.

Also, I met some very interesting and wonderful people on this site. This place has become like a little home for my thoughts and half-assed poems. See the Poetry Barn and Eatery for reference -- it's in the Poetry forum, in case you have trouble finding it.

A date? Isn't that like when two people hang out and do stuff together? Or is it like looking dreamily into their eyes for hours at a time until the eye-snot builds up to such a point that the eye won't blink anymore?

I hope this isn't too long now. I mean, I'm off the dating circuit and never really was on it at all to begin with. But if I were to go with someone on a date, I think we'd have a nice time putting cortisone cream on my bacne. That sounds lovely, don't it?
