Ï've been told that I am the world's best company and have lots of interests to share. Heading out on a drive to nowhere in particular is great fun, stopping along the way for flea markets, fall fairs, auctions, antique and "stuff" shops and an ice cream cone. I am a knowledgeable sports fan...hockey, baseball, football, horse racing, boxing, golf, soccer, you get the idea. I enjoyed an 11 year career in the music business playing piano and guitar and as a bonus, I also sing. I can be equally happy be at home and playing scrabble or cribbage or going out to dinner and a movie. I can share tea with the ladies or drink draft with the boys.

I'm looking for a man with the time and intention to find someone for a longterm relationship. He must be able to make me laugh and must get my humour..I am loyal to a fault and do not mind doing the work of finding the right person. It does require some level of a committed and serious approach. I guess that's what this entire excercise is about. This whole dating thing is definately not for the faint of heart! lol

I have one grown son with whom I am very close. I am also blessed with having a great daughter-in-law. Last February I purchased an adorable little puppy who has proven to be a best friend.

After a few back and forth messages, I like to take the leap and talk on the phone. I find it condenses the 'getting to know you' time and allows getting onto whether or not we should meet. I'm interested in your views on that.

As a bit of a teaser, these are a few of the things I have done in my lifetime - so far. I have been self-employed at something since the age of 7. I have worked as a farm hand. I have played piano and sung in the presense of Mick Jagger. I was at the Toronto Blue Jay opening game in '77. I have helped a mare struggling to birth her foal. Been kicked out of Private Catholic Girls' school for bootlegging beer and cigarettes to the resident girls. Portaged for 2 miles barefoot in Algonquin Park with a canoe on my head. Driven to Key West in one jump. Snorkled and driven a waverider in Mexico. I've travelled to Las Vegas, Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago in addition Mexico and Florida. Been a writer for a small sports magazine in Kingston and have raised my son on my own since he was born. That should be sufficient information to begin any conversation!!

The first meeting should be somewhere neutral for both of us, a park, coffee shop etc, where we can decide about a 'first date' if all goes well.
