not just another notch on the belt see

Respect that
I see what it is to be a woman nowadays
So afraid to love they put me through a maze to their heart
But reject me before I even start
Gettin lost ina labarynth of mistrust, misunderstanding
Takin my questions as if I was demanding
I'm sorry but it ain't like that
I understand some of you have been mistreated even beaten
Its sad that a man
Will raise his hand to a woman,
Verbally abuse her, go so far as to just use her
But I'm not like that
Respect that take a step back and look at your past
Leave it in the past, just relax
And give the right guy a chance
Do what you gotta do
To make me prove to you I'm worth while
But don't do so much as to lose me all the while
Believe I'll try anything to make you smile
I'm not a bad guy I'm just rough around the edges
I'd like somebody I can trust and just
Lay in bed with and talk to all night till the sun comes up
Then look at the clock and be amazed at all the time we burned up
I'm not looking for anything more than a lady to call mine and me hers
Being young my visions been blurred
But I know what I want and I'm waiting for her
Are you my girl?
