I'm been in Asheville a year now and am loving it so far. I work at an acupuncture clinic and am trained in Shiatsu and acupressure, and I'm starting acupuncture school in the fall. I love alternative healing, particularly Asian medicine. I'm also interested in sustainable living and learning to grow my own food. I'm rather geeky and perfectly content with that. I have an incredibly fluid religious identity (Quaker and Pagan, and seemingly headed in a Buddhist direction) and love woods and mountains and oceans and lakes. I've been getting back into Tribal Belly Dance, and hope to get back into burlesque and to learn tango eventually. I'm a vegetarian though I also occasionally eat sustainably farmed fish, and I love good food and wine, and Belgian beer.

I'd love to meet someone who shares some of my interests. Ultimately, I'd love to find a good, long-term relationship, and I do want to have a kid or two eventually, some years down the line (I'm in no rush). Honesty and open communication are extremely important to me, and I have a very low tolerance for unnecessary drama.

It's more important to me to get to know someone than what we do, but dinner and coffee meetings are nice because they're useful to facilitate talking.

I'm picky and don't have chemistry with most men I meet, so I'd like to meet people who are open to just being friends if one or both or us isn't feeling it on a romantic and sexual level. I'm not personally interested in casual sex.
