After going to school and working in Vancouver for a decade, I decided to try my luck in China. I like China a lot, but after 4 years in Beijing, I decided that it was time to come back. I'm pretty much re-esablished again... I have an apartment in the West End and a job working as a business analyst at a software company. I've rekindled relationships with long lost friends, and am now looking forward to meeting new people.

I spend as much of my time as possible off the couch. Although I find kicking back and reading a book relaxing, I like experiencing new things, learning, and working at making myself a better person. Most of which can't be done on the couch. Too bad, actually, because my couch is a nice violet pseudo-suede thing, and is pretty comfortable.

Who am I looking for? Well, you need to have a pulse. And honesty. I'm not going to agree with everything you say or do, but I still want to know what you're thinking, your opinions, and your beliefs. And a sense of humour.

I'm old enough to know that the heart often doesn't follow the brain when it comes to desirable partner traits. Maybe the best thing to do is meet and see how things work out.

I love going out, but don't really like clubs... except swing clubs. Not *those* kind! Well, maybe... I don't know... never been. I used to do a lot of swing dancing, and wouldn't mind getting into it again. I'd also really be in to going to a concert with you. Aside from that, I generally prefer the quieter things (see "interests" section above). Y'know, like skydiving and snowboarding.

If we share some interests, I would love to be your activity partner. If there's a spark between us, I would love to be your friend. If there's something more, well, I would love to be something more...

Meet for hot chocolate after work (perhaps spiked with Bailey's), get to know each other a bit, and make a short-term and long-term plan.

Long-term plan: Among other things, how we will amass an army of minions and take over the world

After the hot chocolate and planning, I'll be a gentleman and walk you back to your car / bus stop / front door. Depending on the time, location, footwear, and how things are rolling, this walk could last 30 seconds or 30 hours. Probably somewhere in between.
