I'm intelligent, happy and down to earth with an optimistic but realistic outlook on life. Being single, I automatically qualify as an independent woman. Because I am independent do not take this to mean that I do not want or like to be taken care of.

I enjoy good conversation. I do have opinions, as we all should. Expressing my opinion, especially if its not the same as yours, does not make me argumentative or disagreeable. If I do not respond when you are speaking, it's because I am a great listener. I prefer equal conversation on both sides and will express myself freely if you are the silent type. It is the only way I know how to tell you about myself. I don't have the capability to mind-meld nor do I have ESP, so talking works for me. :)

I am seeking companionship and possible long term relationship with a funny, kind, secure, man who shares common interests. I understand the dating process and so on and so forth, however, I am not a "habitual dater" but more so into dating one person "habitually." I still carry with me some "old fashioned beliefs"...chivalry is not dead!

I like to laugh and see the lighter side of things. Can you put a smile on my face, make me grin ear to ear? Can you make me Laugh!? A sense of humor is a must for me!

I prefer going out to see a movie, but also won't mind watching them on DVD. Some of my music tastes range from music of the 70's & 80's, Michael Buble, Jersey Boys and Pavorotti. It's not unusal for me to get loud and obnoxious while listening to anything that Tom Jones sings...cause well, he's TOM JONES! yey!!! And while I can say that I am not the adventurous type, my idea of adventure is life itself. I'm not into scuba diving, waterskiing, mountain climbing, bungee jumping or riding a motorcycle across the country. I like hockey and baseball, but surely I don't want to play them.

I do enjoy traveling and have been to a few places, but I've never been on an archaeological expedition and I've never been to see the Pyramids...However, my all time favorite hot spot is Las Vegas.

Communication is key and vital in any relationship. Actions speak louder than words. Getting to know someone in person speaks volumes much more so than emails or IM Chat. Having a job and being financially responsible are also important.
