Ernest Hemingway once said "There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely games." You won't find me behind the wheel of an Indy Car and I am intimidated by large charging beasts with horns; it only leaves me one choice; mountaineering. It is certainly a passion having gone well past the century mark for summits is proof enough.

I am an atypical male; I tend not to sit endlessly watching pro sports on television, not into NASCAR, Harleys and the like. I would much rather be outdoors hiking, skiing, climbing or cycling. It is why I wanted to live in Colorado for years and love it now that I am here.

It is truly hard to describe exactly what qualities I would like to find in a partner. Certainly I want to be with a woman whom I can trust, who is passionate, affectionate, open and sensual. It is important to me to be with a woman who takes care of herself, leads a healthy lifestyle, and enjoys the outdoors. I am not necessarily looking for climbing partner, more of a partner in crime; someone who enjoys and can appreciate both the finer and simpler things life has to offer. Smoking, drugs and excessive drinking are out.

Here are the basics; I am quite comfortable in my own skin and I like being who I am. I fit-in in just about any situation; I know how to dress and am generally polite and well mannered. My mother (the little Italian one) would twist my ear if I failed to open a door for someone. LOL I can actually cook; of course it's more fun when I'm cooking for or with someone. I like a great bottle of wine now and again; I have a modest cellar and think that sharing liquid assets with friends is the best part of having them. I don't drink often but do drink well. I do like dinning out, Sushi, Ethiopian, Middle Eastern, Mexican, Vietnamese or Good Old Fashion American works for me. Making dinner for two and a corking a good bottle of wine is always fun. In the music department you can leave out opera and the rest is what I like listen to depending on the setting. I enjoy my lifestyle and I have a great circle of friends and acquaintances. I’m not into games. I'm a lousy liar (so I just don't tell them), try not to be insensitive, show a little compassion and above all else I am loyal. I still like to hold hands, public displays of affection are a must and I really like to kiss too!

My physical attributes are 5'9” (5’ 11" in mountaineering boots) Irish/ Italian decent, 175lbs dark brown hair, hazel/brown eyes and a fairly lean build. Fitness is an important part of my life; I work out 3 or 4 days a week. I love to snow ski and have been since age 5 and it would be great to have a permanent ski buddy. I enjoy spending time behind the lens, rather than in front. I have been taking more time to pursue what started as a childhood passion. I have had more that my allocated 15 minutes of fame; a story for another time.

I'm relatively well traveled, England, Germany, Switzerland, Argentina, Canada, Nepal, Tibet, Mexico and the Caribbean; I'm somewhat well read, Miller, Selby, Rollins and a host of adventure writers. My TV watching is confined mostly to local news and weather, no cable or satellite.

If you who like spontaneity, passion and romance, I could be your guy. I am not at all opposed to being involved with someone with children, however at this stage of the game I do not want anymore of my own.
