Women who are intelligent, interesting conversationalists yet happy with their own quiet time, able to express their desires freely (emotionally, socially and physically), seek to both expand their knowledge and have something to add, have a stylistic flair that suits them & their attitude, interests and station in life whether casual or formal but preferring no particular genre (although strongly attracted to women who wear heels; I'm fairly tall and also prefer the more feminine style), and are aware of, enjoy and are comfortable with their intelligence, sense of self, femininity and sexuality hold strong appeal. A certain amount of spontaneity and playfulness is perfect.

I am by no means a typical guy caricature (don't care for ball sports, car racing, or beer), preferring the reality of the outdoors, esp. seakayaking, hiking, flyfishing or camping, history and historical period travels, the creativity of fine arts and classical music, fine dining and a good scotch; more a blend of classic, occasionally unconventional, style with a good dose of adventurer thrown in yet a very solid, dependable person. Think Sean Connery in the 3rd Indiana Jones, the Professor from Gilligan's Island, Gary Cooper playing Howard Roark in The Fountainhead or Marshall Kane in High Noon. Will make you laugh with spontaneous witticism! I'm far more 40s in looks, activity, and attitude and would be incompatible with a woman who was otherwise.

Oh, and I'm a really good cook.

If you are a happy, intelligent, well rounded, stable and traditional yet adventureous woman, perhaps with somewhat eclectic interests, but may have a reserved or unexpected wild streak, we just may get along nicely.

Science or art museum, conversation at the bookstore, a quiet cafe for a glass of wine, visiting a historic site, ...flycasting on a local pond, a moonlight paddle, stargazing (like in astronomy), a nature walk along the river.
