I love great music, and art, and the interests I've mentioned above. Not that I would ever pressure anyone to ride [motorcycle] with me! (I brought my big Cree - Ojibwa style snowshoes with me from Wisconsin, but so far have found insufficient snow down here for them.) I'm from Piqua, but I moved down here from Madison, Wisconsin where I'd lived for 35 years. I am a retired gov. [State of Wisconsin] lawyer (I enforced the securities law); own my own home, with a great stereo system (one of the things I really want to share is listening to music); and my daughter is on her own (and also, now, a gov. lawyer in Wisconsin -- an Assistant A.G.). I have a big interest in reading, particularly non-fiction books for learning more about the world, including history, and really appreciate good conversation about all sorts of things. I also love really good movies [my favorite so far is "Out of Africa," with "Dances with Wolves" a close second], and good TV. It turns out I'm pretty good at teaching solo canoeing (and sailing, for that matter, but I no longer have a sailboat). (I do have two solo canoes -- a big one and a small one -- and a sea kayak, all, right now, on my home-made canoe rack in my garage.) I have a pound-rescue standard poodle -- my fourth standard poodle. GREAT dogs! (Nope, no fancy haircut.) I have two nice fireplaces -- one is just to the left of that big speaker you see -- and a fire there at night, with great music on the system, is a special thing in the depths of winter. All my house lacks, really, is a porch from which to view and hear thunderstorms. On the other hand, I do that from my garage, with one of the overhead doors open and a folding chair just inside....

I'd ask what you'd like to do, and then we'd compare ideas; but I think just getting together for conversation would be a good start, maybe over lunch or dinner.
