For fun:

I love to dance (samba e o pai de alegria :) But I hate crowds (go figure). I love music (virtually everything) and of course a good movie. Nothing beats getting lost in a good book, any activity with the potential to laugh uncontrollably ranks high.

My Favorite travel destinations: The quintessential tropical island paradise off the coast of Rio de Janeiro: Ilha Grande, Harajuku in Tokyo, Firenze in Italy, Amsterdam :) There are few places I haven't dreamt of visiting. The world is waiting...

Favorite color brown. Favorite books: Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglass Adams, Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie, Fierce Invalids Home From Warm Climates by Tom Robbins, Lamb by Christopher Moore (there are many more but these all can be re-read at any time). Musical Tastes run the gamut: Mozart to Mos Def, Portishead to Sean Paul, Jimmy Hendrix to Louis Armstrong, Bob Marley etc.

The last book I read was Black No More by George Schuyler. I'm in the middle of Salman Rushdie's new book Enchantress of Florence.
I'm a native New Yorker (as elusive as we may appear to be) and thusly don't even have my drivers license. But what I lack in driving skills I make up for in MANY other ways. I have a strong mind and love learning new things (I'm trying Japanese right now). I already speak Italian and Portuguese and can understand enough and stumble through elementary conversations of Spanish and French. All things creative inspire me. I am writing and illustrating a children's book. I love laughing and traveling to places unknown. I am shy but open up easily when comfortable. I've worn the same scent since I discovered it in fifth grade (Egyptian Musk). My family is the light of my life (my friends I hold as dearly). I strive for the fully-lived life. Every experience holds value even those that hindsight has corrected. I love food: cooking and eating. Dancing keeps me grounded (samba opened my eyes). Music is my savior. Reading keeps me sane, generally I'm reading a few books at any one time. I love the beach. A day in the park is equally enjoyable. My artistic mediums of choice are photography and mixed media (a lot of pen and ink). I have two meaning full and strategically placed tattoos.
I don't know exactly who I'm looking for, but I know I'm not looking for any self-centered or self-serving guys. As long as you've got something to say, a passion for what you do, a love for friends and family and a sense of humor (ideally a sharp wit), you could be him...
