At the risk of sounding very cynical ... I have to say that I just don't get this site. Being somewhat shy and a little old-fashioned (and having a fear of rejection), I have to say that I tend not to initiate contact with an e-mail, but throw out some bait by putting a guy on my "favourites" lists, and see if there is even any interest. While I certainly don't expect that every single line put out there will catch a fish, I would think my average would be better than zero. Please enlighten me ... am I doing something wrong?

A first date should be really casual - coffee, lunch, a walk along the seawall - with no real expectations.
