Hi, I'm so glad that my friend told me about this site. I'm a single, black professional male and am 44 years old - a truly young 44. I love seeing great films or reading great books and talking with someone about them. The Broun Fellinis are my favorite local jazz band. I enjoy soccer, hiking, jogging, tennis, and biking. Oh, and what's the point of living in the Bay Area if you don't get out to see the redwoods or the ocean? I am easy-going and fun-loving. I am ready to settle down with the right person and will know when I have met her. In the meantime, there are a lot of aspects of life that are more fun if you have a special person with whom to share them. Update: I am singing - good karaoke, not the bad kind - and really really enjoying it. I've been singing regularly now on Tuesdays at the Shattuck Down Low ( I know, they need to change the name ) 8 pm until close, and at Mel-o-Dee in the El Cerrito Plaza (easy to get to and plenty of parking, ladies) on Thursday ( 7 - 11), Friday and Saturday ( 9 - 1 ) nights. Oh, there is so much to do on any given night in the Bay Area. I really enjoy checking out the Guardian, SF Weekly, and East Bay Express regularly to see what's going on. After a few conversations, I will hopefully learn a little about your interests and find a good match going on in one of those weeklies. A live performance with dinner? An art exhibit and coffee afterwards? Something a little more low key like playing pool? Do you know how to play 9-Ball? Backgammon? Acey-Duecy? We could just go to a nice coffee shop and just grab a table, play some games and talk - the conversation is the main thing that we should remember after our first date, right? More pictures to come!
