About Me
THE QUICK AND EASY ABOUT ME

I am stereotyped a lot, but hopefully this list will break the chain.

I don’t watch sports on TV at all but occasionally go with friends for the fellowship, laughs, and beer.

I always enjoyed playing sports and love a trip to Wrigley or Comiskey Park.

I love antiquing and going to flea markets where I buy, and sometimes sell antiques.

A hearty laugh, a couple of drinks with friends, and good music in a small establishment now and then is a good thing.

I never drive intoxicated, and intoxication is a rare occasion in my life.

I throw a great Christmas party for friends. Nostalgic and fun.

I collect vintage photography and feel that a photo is about as close to the past as you can get without actually being transported in time. Well, a photo and a little imagination goes a long way.

I can type really fast and was once offered a job as a male typist in my younger years.

I decorate mostly with antiques and have refinished furniture and actually enjoy it.

My cleaning skills are superior to my organizational abilities.

I plant heirloom garden plants which I start from seed in my basement. In the summer, my deck is filled with color from plants that were mainstream over 100 years ago.

I love small towns, old houses, and old towns with historical charm.

I listen to ally types of music. though I cannot stand Rap. I have seen AC/DC when they were a warm-up band, many country music acts including DAC, George Strait, and I just saw the still young and vibrant Eagles. I love to sing karaoke where I belt out old country tunes and really do a pretty good job of it as I’m told about everywhere I go.

I value honesty, hard work, loyalties, and principles.

If I could go back in time, it would be to the Civil War era, and then bounce into the World War II American Home-front to witness our entire nation united with American pride, plant a victory garden, attend a War Bond Rally, help at a scrap metal and paper drive, witness a parade where people actually stand when the flag rolls by.

I think more logically than emotionally.

I love my country , I’m patriotic but concerned about the direction we are taking. You should see my collection of vintage folks with the American flag.

I love to read. The last book I read was National Suicide. Stephen Ambrose is on of my favorite non-fiction authors.

I love art and am fascinated with the Impressionist, particularly Claude Monet.

I was an Eagle Scout and love outdoor activities including hiking, canoeing, camping. I once ate lunch with the with Governor and Secretary of State of Illinois in the mansion.

I eat well and healthy and can actually cook .

I hate to fold laundry, but love to clean the house.

I can’t be around angry people.

I love to travel and usually go to Mexico on vacation in the winter.

I love to exercise but sometimes my work schedule makes it very difficult. But I always get back to the gym.

I love live theater and acted in plays in college and played Julias Ceaser in the fifth grade.

I always wanted children but being a good Uncle will have to suffice.

I love animals and have two Cats. I would love to have a dog, but long days sometimes would be very unfair to the dog.

In my next life my profession would be a Historical Archaeologist.

I value my friends and collect good people, many of whom I have known since childhood. I make an effort to stay in touch.

When I cry at a movie, I try to hide it.

I love to laugh.

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed with the rigors of daily life.

Some wine, good conversation, and the light of a fire is a good thing.

I like scented candles. (is it wrong?)

I have a bucket list and two activities on the list are to Skydive, and go up in a hot air balloon.

I love day trips to Chicago, Galena, Long Grove, and places I can shop for what I don't really need.

This summer I went to Summerfest, the Renisceance Fair, Ernest Hemingway House and museum in Oak Park, Wrigley Field, Mackinaw Island Michigan, and more.

I sometimes work more than I play.

Hello all, I have many areas of interest and am more or less a kaleidoscope of interests. "Curious by Nature" is probably an understatement. I don't watch sports on television at all though I always enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, and football and would love a quick pick up game, and I enjoy heading out to Wrigley field for a ball game, but I just don't watch sports on TV. My friends think that this is a bit odd, but they still invite me to the Super bowl games anyway. I go for the fun, fellowship, and beer!

I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, camping, (Yes, I was an Eagle Scout) concerts, festivals, a good night singing karaoke, history, a good trip down a lazy river in a canoe, music, reading, vintage photography, antiques, museums, art, weekend trips, working out, traveling and so much more. I also plant heirloom plants which I start from seed in my basement and in the summer my deck is filled with beautiful and unusual plants that were mainstream 100 years ago. I guess I just got tired of common marigolds and petunias.

I also enjoy a quiet night on the couch watching a good movie with that special someone, or a nice dinner and a dip in the hot tub. I am looking for someone to enjoy life with and have fun and see where it goes as we all hope to find someone one day that is our other half, someone to compliment us and accept us for who we are.Someone to love and that they love us and we are in each others corner. It sounds easy in theory, but difficult to achieve in the real world. I guess you just can't give up hope. Keep trying as complacency kills.

I am a loyal and honest friend, a thoughtful and caring person who values friendship, honesty, and good morals. Friends is a good place to start any relationship. I was in Georgetown once many years ago, and a man at the pub I was sitting in told me, "the three things needed to ensure a happy life are good friends, good food, and have a lot of fun". He hit the nail on the head in my opinion. I know you are out there. Lets find each other and have some fun.

First Date
Something casual such as a trip to Borders or a coffee-house, maybe a drink and a snack at a place where we can talk and find out a little about each other. And then, to Paris for a night of fun via my Lear Jet. (whoops) I didn't want to tell you about the Lear Jet yet :)
