Profession
Graphic Artist, Makeup Artist, Photographer
About Me
Yep. Time to shake things up. Professionally, definitely. Personally, don't know how yet, but I think it's time to do things a little different. :-)
I'm fairly active these days... I'm a full-time professional graphic artist/photographer and I do some pro makeup artistry on the side. I've started my own business doing all of these things and more, and I love it all! I work out about 3x/week at the gym (including running, weights, and/or taking classes), but would love to expand my exercise more to the outdoors, with day hikes, kayaking in the summer, bike rides and skiing in the winter (and I'm a novice at all of them, so you need to be patient, but I'm a fast learner!). I AM a redhead though, so I have to flea-dip in sunscreen every time I go outside. :-) I danced most of my childhood, teen and college years and still am a legend in my own mind! When I grow up I want to be a Fly Girl! ("What do you MEAN they're not producing In Living Color anymore?!") As for indoor sports on the few extreme weather days that SoCal gets on occasion, I'm down for Guitar Hero or Rock Band (to channel my inner rock-star!) or we can go catch a hockey game.
Generally, I'm pretty enthusiastic and exuberant (SAT word!), yet I'd say I'm also fairly laid back & easy-going. Please be literate, intelligent, and yes, established in your work field... or at the very least, have aspirations & goals to continually strive to make your life a better one. A good personal life usually = a good foundation for a relationship.
Some quick no-no's... people who are: flaky, have addictions or are drama-queens (kings?). It's just too high-maintenance, I just don't have time or the patience. Sorry! I'm probably MORE at home these days hanging casually in a sports bar or brewery, or wearing jeans to see local bands play. But, I DO still love to get dressed up (clothes, hair, makeup, etc), but it's really not an everyday thing for me. I MAY be OC, but I'm not your typical SoCal girl. Bottom line: I will treat a man well, so it's nice to be treated like a someone special in return. 'Nuff said! (or too much)? ;-)
One last side note: Gentlemen, I have provided you with pictures, I ask if you email or IM me and want a response, you better have a STELLAR profile or provide the same. Fair's fair! In the meantime... happy fishing!
First Date
Activity dates are the best! Meet for a walk, maybe rollerblading (by the way, I'm not actually GOOD at it, but you'll laugh at me when I fall), finish with dinner along the beach, maybe Laguna or Huntington. Maybe glow-in-the-dark miniature golf or bowling. Or, if you come up with another good idea (not the "movie and dinner" thing, you don't get to know a person that way), I'm open to hearing suggestions. Ethnic food for dinner is a fave too (japanese, thai, greek/lebanese, indian and my most recent new adventure: ethiopian! Who knew? Little Ethiopia in LA is great!). Although... originality WILL score points, it's not always the activity that makes the date, it's the person!
