I have swum with dolphins (they smell of fish, but lovely to touch); seen the Big 5 (an elephant scared the life out of me as I turned a corner in the bush and there he was, bigger than a house, awesome! - in fact off and on spent 4 years in Africa); climbed to the top of the Great Pyramid (hard work but worth the effort, and not as claustrophobic as then going down into the tomb itself - and not as much fun as the Souke); walked away from 3 helicopter crashes (yet still get a child-like buzz when a plane takes off, but feel especially grateful when it lands safely!); fallen off a horse when it turned sharp left, and I thought we were going straight on; sat in the still, vastness of the desert as the sun set and rose, and marvelled at its stark serene beauty; have sung songs out loud on various beaches during tropical thunderstorms danced on top of Table Mountain; climbed to the top of Mount Sinai just to watch the sun rise... and have done it all alone..., well ok not alone because usually there were other people bimbling around, except in the desert, just me, and my camel and a couple of families of beduins who stopped by, ok and the odd scorpian and snake, but apart from that completely alone !
If there is anyone else out there who also likes to take the road less travelled, do please get in touch, and if not, well stop wasting your time on here when you should be out meeting your 'soul mate' (who you will find in a church) or look for a 'good hearted man' (presumably because you have a heart condition and need a transplant!).
If you are looking for someone genuine, honest, caring, considerate, keep looking, sorry I mean you have found him! But as most women tell me they tend to judge men by their cover (and are then bitterly disappointed and surprised when they go out with a Johnny Depp look-alike, who then subsequently cheats on them ? Sorry girls, I just don't get this 'need a bad boy' thing when it always ends in tears before bedtime!). Wake up, smell the coffee, and lets face it I am a rather shoddy, battered looking old book, but it is a book with substance, it ain't Hello magazine!
What's the difference between Bing Crosby and Walt Disney ? - Bing sings, but Walt Disney (you have to say it with a scotish accent).
Rule number 1 - Get a life...
Rule number 2 - There is no rule number 2
Talk, 'mooch about a bit' if near nice walks, antique shops or an art gallery, whatever takes the mood and feels the right thing to do.
However... I think I would like to learn to Tango, so it might be Cuba !
