Like one of many wet articles of clothing plastered to the drum wall of a washing machine stuck on the “Spin Cycle.” Every time I start clicking away and resume the daily search for the “one” another few articles of clothing are thrown into the machine. Over time there’s far too much in there, spinning way too fast. Eventually like any overloaded machine it begins to wobble and make weird noises. That machine is internet dating and I feel like one of those pieces of clothing.

In my perfect internet dating world there would some kind of magical hand that would hit the “stop button” on the machine, pick out a couple of matching pieces of clothing and hang them both side by side on a clothes line in the warm sunshine and fresh air. Then after just the right amount of time a little gust of wind would playfully float Mr. Jeans and Miss. Hot Pink Thong…..just kidding…..Miss. Top in the air until they touched. Then a naked soul would walk over and get dressed.

Back to reality. Here we are back in the spin cycle. I don’t know about you but I’m ready to hang out on that natural line. I want out. I spend way too much time clicking away to live in a perpetual “spin cycle.” I'm dizzy.
